My writing as a screenwriter, playwright and librettist explores identity, imagination, and emotional resilience through boldly theatrical worlds. My work has been developed and produced by the Festival of New American Musicals, The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, the Beverly Hills Playhouse, the Pabst Theater, and Ball State University. I am an alum of the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center (Theatermakers Summer 2024) with an emphasis in Playwriting. Currently, I am developing a new television drama with writing partners Andrew Moorhead and Cecilia Soghikian, and beginning work on my next original play—continuing my commitment to bold, emotionally charged storytelling across stage and screen. My work includes Mad World (a musical), Bravo (a musical), The Five O'Clock Mambo (a play) The Revelry of the Lost Boys (a one-act play), Being Bleu (a ten-minute play), Gabriel (a short film), and The Move (a short film).
My first original musical, Mad World—co-written with Steven Schmidt and Chandler Patton—is a reimagining of Lewis Carroll’s inspiration behind Alice in Wonderland. The piece was awarded Best New Work in the Country by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and received a development grant from the Lewis Carroll Society.
My musical Bravo, co-written with Andrew Moorhead and Steven Schmidt, premiered in Los Angeles and went on to win the New Voices Project from New Musicals Inc. in partnership with Disney Imagineering, as well as First Place in the Worldwide Search for New Musicals. Bravo was also a finalist for the National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and was featured in the Ball State Discovery Festival.
